\n<\/strong>Here in Italy\u00a0Spring has come<\/strong>\u00a0though it\u2019s raining somewhere, today, but hey!, we have our brand new summer Ale\u00a0Stelle&Strisce<\/a>\u00a0out, so let\u2019s pretend Summer is closer then ever.<\/p>\n

Moreover,\u00a0lot of nice and exciting stuff<\/strong>\u00a0is going on this week and today, particularly, so once in a while let\u2019s enjoy\u00a0a good Monday!<\/strong><\/p>\n

What are we talking about? Well, let\u2019s see it.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Today, two special events will happen in Italy: the first is\u00a0in Milan<\/strong>, where the second edition of the\u00a0chef and pizza makers trading cards album by Italia Squisita\u00a0\u2013 a charity project for the\u00a0Bertini Foundation\u00a0\u2013 will be presented during a special evening featuring Italy\u2019s best pizzas along our beers and more.<\/p>\n

The second will take place some kilometers away from Rome, at\u00a0Taberna<\/a>, where many great brewers and friends will gather to celebrate\u00a0Mondobirra<\/a>\u2018s 10th Anniversary.<\/strong>\u00a0This website played an important role in witnessing and spreading the\u00a0Italian Craft Beer movement<\/strong>\u2018s growth, so we couldn\u2019t have missed the event! Moreover,\u00a0Kuaska\u00a0\u2013 the maximum beer-expert in Italy \u2013 will tell about\u00a0Italian craft beer history<\/strong>\u00a0and will show some\u00a0unreleased pictures<\/strong>\u00a0so\u2026.\u00a0 we\u2019ll keep our eyes wide open!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>But today\u2019s event we are more excited about is the following: we are going to dress up for the official presentation on the\u00a0Joan of Art: Towards a Free Education<\/a>\u00a0project at\u00a0MACRO\u00a0<\/a>Museum of Contemporary Art in Rome<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

What has\u00a0craft beer<\/strong>\u00a0to share with\u00a0Contemporary Art<\/strong>? Well, here at Birra del Borgo we think that there is a lot, as you can see from our\u00a0Beering Ar<\/a>t project, but now there is more. Beside giving our beers for openings and events at\u00a0MACRO<\/strong>, this time\u00a0our bottles become an integral part of the artistic and educational project created by<\/strong>\u00a0Mike Watson<\/strong>\u00a0together with\u00a0Donatella Giordano<\/strong>for the\u00a0Nomas Foundation<\/a>\u00a0program.<\/p>\n

During the opening of the Hidetoshi Nagasawa and Sam Durant\u2019s exhibits, the\u00a0Infobar<\/strong>\u00a0created by\u00a0Mike Watson and Andrew Rutt will<\/strong>\u00a0distribute the\u00a0purpose-made beer bottles<\/strong>\u00a0by Birra del Borgo. On the beer labels, visitors will find sections of\u00a0emblematic phrases<\/strong>\u00a0about education\u2019s prominent role. The phrases will be completed only by tracking down the bottle carrying the second part of the phrase quoted on one\u2019s bottle, thus creating a moment for\u00a0sharing and exchanging their own opinions about the phrase<\/strong>. The labels will be displayed during the following days in the Area space of MACRO.\u00a0 The\u00a0Information bar<\/strong>\u00a0also is an online place, that people can access through the QR Code on the label and\u00a0where they can leave comments.<\/a><\/p>\n

We are enthusiast of the project, since\u00a0craft beer<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 already having a high socializing value in itself \u2013 here becomes not only a drink to be consumed but also plays\u00a0a primary role in making people meet, share and interact,<\/strong>\u00a0and it becomes an\u00a0artistic object<\/strong>, too.<\/p>\n

Tonight\u2019s event will also be the occasion to officially launch our\u00a0brand new 0,33 litre bottle<\/strong>, specially designed and realized together with\u00a0O-I<\/a>, the world\u2019s leading glass-packaging maker. We wanted to recreate our\u00a0unique and unmistakable 0,75 litre bottle\u2019s shape<\/strong>, but also to make a step further towards\u00a0sustainabilty and environmental care<\/strong>. The new bottles created by O-I\u00a0 in an uvag-plus green color will let us reduce of about 30% the overall weight, thus saving about 120 glass tonnes per year.<\/p>\n
