It was a busy start of summer for us\u2026 On\u00a0June 21<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 the second day of the season, as this year the summer solstice arrived on June 20 \u2013\u00a0two new brand venues<\/strong>opened in Rome. And we are involved in both!<\/p>\n

The first one is the\u00a0Birreria<\/strong>\u00a0at the first floor of\u00a0Eataly Roma<\/a>, the the largest of the artisanal Italian food and wine marketplaces created by\u00a0Oscar Farinetti<\/strong>. Just as it happens in the\u00a0New York venue<\/a>, Rome Birreria is run in collaboration with\u00a0Birra del Borgo<\/strong>,\u00a0Baladin<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Dogfish Head<\/a>!\u00a0Beers from the three breweries will be served on tap, while\u00a0three brand new beers<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 a Golden Ale, an Amber and a Dark Mild \u2013 will be brewed on the premises: our friend\u00a0Brooks Carretta<\/strong>\u00a0just flew back from NY to take care of the inner brewing plant just behind the counter.Leo, Teo and Sam<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 the\u00a0\u201cBirreria Brothers\u201d<\/em>\u00a0\u2013 selected the best craft beers to be sold at the shop and they (well, we hope that Sam will join us from the States as often as he can!) will also holdbeer tasting lessons and events<\/strong>. No food will be served, but you won\u2019t starve: you will find nearby more then 10\u00a0product-themed Restaurants<\/strong>\u00a0and many shops, not to mention the bread, mozzarella cheese, fresh pasta and more made on the premises!

The second opening was\u00a0no.au<\/a>. What is this? Hard to define it\u2026 again Leo&Teo, togheter with the famous pizza-chef\u00a0Gabriele Bonci\u00a0<\/a>and the two friends Paolo Bertani and Luca Tosato, converted a former cocktail bar one minute away from Piazza Navona, in a place dedicated to the \u201cnatural\u201d concept: organic wines from small producers, special edition craft beers and \u201cuntouched\u201d, mostly raw food. The setting, too, it\u2019s quite special: the entire venue was decorated by our friendGiovanni Trimani<\/strong>, co-creator of the\u00a0Beering Art project<\/a>\u00a0and furnished with some vintage items, including an original\u00a0Olivetti Lettera 22<\/a>\u00a0typewriterused to type the menu!<\/p>\n
