What’s going on this week end in Rome? Well, talking about craft beer, we could say EVERYTHING!While we are waiting the Craft Beer Week (Settimana della Birra Artigianale) to begin on Monday, we definetly will have something to warm-up with in the next three days! An explosive Roman week end full of beer related events… and Birra del Borgo will be there! Will anyone still dare to say that March is a boring month?
We will anticipate the week end to friday morning at Macche – real and long name, Ma Che Siete Venuti a Fa – the famous Manuele Colonna’s pub in Trastevere. The whole day, you will find there Birra del Borgo on tap! At night, there will be the celebration of Leonardo Di Vincenzo’s first steps in the craft beer world, ten year ago. And Macche was one of the place where all began… So we will have some very special beer on tap, like the Fumata Nera (a cask blend of Reale in Kilt and Ducale), Agua Caliente, the brand new Perle ai Porci and the Reale Extraserved with a randall!
Hope and pray to survive Friday night, as you really can’t miss the Craft Beer Festival (Festa delle Birre Artigianali) to be held on Saturday, 2nd (from 4 pm) and Sunday 3rd of March atEataly Roma!
You will find there 21 Italian craft breweries, more thand 100 different beers on tap and the related brewers, in flesh and blood (and ABV) but also live music by Nossa Bossa 5th on Saturday, and many other events! The festival cornerstone will be Eataly Birreria but also other spaces will be involved, and there will be some “special guest” like Domus Birrae, Ma che siete venuti a fa, Open Baladin Roma, no.au e Ales & Co! There is a free entry, and you will only pay tokens to drink and eat what you prefer! Being inside Eataly, of course you will also find a lot of tasty food!
Of course, we will be there with our draft – including some old favourite and new stuff, like Enkir, Maledetta, Perle ai Porci, My Antonia, ReAle Extra, 25Dodici – and Leonardo will contribute to several events.
