Does the picture at the left reminds you of something? Well, yes, they ARE Leo and Teo, but there is something more to it!
We are giving you one more clue: another great brewmaster is missing: we are talking about the third“Birreria Brother” Sam Calagione!
The picture was taken today at Eataly Bari big opening: it’s the 10th Eataly Shop only in Italy, and it also host the third Birreria in the world, following New York and Rome! Do you still need one more reason for planning your next trip to Bari, just on the heel of the boot-shaped Italian Peninsula? Here you have it: at Eataly Bari Birreria, you will be able to sip your craft beer while you are looking at the sea!
Eataly Bari will count 8.000 square meters in the monumental part of the Fiera del Levante – the largest trade fair in the Adriatic – facing the sea. Here you will find 15 “ristorantini” (small and informal restaurants dedicated to different typical Italian food), a huge market selling the best Italian and Apulian products, two classrooms for cooking classes held by local chef and aCongress center. Over 1000 Italian craft food producers will be displayed, and many of them are from the region Apulia or belongs to Slow Food Presidia.
Once again, the Eataly project shows its commitment to authentic Italian food production and culture.
And beside many famous chefs and craftsmen of taste, there is also Birreria! Just like in New York and Rome, we are talking about a real micro-brewery established by three “Birreria Brothers” Teo Musso, Sam Calagione and “our” Leonardo Di Vincenzo.
Birreria Bari offers ten different craft beers on tap: many of them come from the three breweries involved – BdB, Baladin and Dogfish – but you will also find other Italian craft beers on a rotation basis, and of course the “house brews”.
The resident brewer at Bari Birreria is Achille Lombardo Pijola, who spent the last year brewing in Borgorose, Piozzo and Birreria at Eataly Roma!
By now, Leo, Teo and Sam already created the first “made in Bari” brews: they wanted to celebrate the charming Mediterranean scents, using herbs and spices from the local area like roses, citrus and pink pepperocorn.
The first beer is a citrus-perfumed Golden Ale while the second is a delicate and refreshing Blanche with pink peppercorn, wild roses and orange zest.
We are getting thirsty, what about you???
