The “2019 Italian Beers Guide” edited by Slow Food is finally out in bookstores, with a brand new editorial line, more enjoyable and consumer-friendly. As stated by the authors, their will was to describe the entire beer industry, and not only its artisanal reality, to create a useful tool for customers to choose their beer in a simple (but not simplistic) way, finding a clear picture of the evolution and the complexity that characterizes the beer industry today.
The guide is divided in four groups: artisanal breweries, non artisanal breweries, ripeners and beer firms. All the assigned awards have taken into great consideration the high quality of the beers produced. Especially “The Bottle”, award received by Birra del Borgo, has been assigned to all those breweries that managed to express themselves fully on complex, rich, alcoholic, structured beers. With our Enkir, recognized as “Daily Beer”, we managed to express the value of its simplicity, balance and pleasantness, making it the ideal partner for an everyday glass. Furthermore, always according to the Guide, there are two more “great beers” not to miss in our production, worthy of at least a try, of rare expressiveness, well made and flawless: Reale and Equilibrista.
Being mentioned in this guide is very important to us, as it shows how our brewery values its territory, carries on a relentless activity in the brewing culture, in the constant search of a new way for the Italian beer.
We’ll just have to wish everyone a good read and to thank the authors, Eugenio Signoroni and Luca Giaccone.
